Clients and Designers
2010/01 Michael Bierut from CreativeMornings on Vimeo.
If you're a designer, or even someone who may use the services of a designer in the near future, this is essential viewing. Designer/client relationships are a subject that gets talked about a lot—unfortunately, mainly negatively by designers—but Michael Bierut talks in an easy, down-to-earth way about the best and worst ways clients interact with designers and vice versa. Amazingly informative.

The perception of beauty is a moral test.
A recently-found quote questioning how individuals may or may not perceive beauty. As a designer, this got me thinking about the necessary balance of subjective and objective decisions in producing something hopefully pleasing to the eye.
I had this photo I'd taken in Norway and I thought they'd go well together as, for me there's something rather beautiful about it.
What are your thoughts, beauty or nay?

Teddy Bear Skeletons
I saw recently these small sculptural pieces online by Stephanie Metz and I find them fascinating. There's something about anthropamorphising a bear into a teddy and then exploring its anatomy in this very tactile way that blows my mind. Freakish and cute all rolled into one.
